Our next event is with Scottish Adoption, Proud Scotland Award winners 2023. The lovely people at the SQA Rainbow Network in Glasgow have very kindly offered us the use of their venue to hold this important information evening.

The evening will give you the opportunity to hear from our expert Senior Practitioners as well as from our LGBTQ+ Adopters as they talk about their journey to parenthood. You will get the opportunity to ask any questions you have all while enjoying tea and cake in a friendly relaxed environment. 

Below is a selection of the feedback Scottish Adoption have had from previous events:

"We found the info meeting really useful and informative and a great way to make the idea of adoption more of a reality in terms of it being an option for us. We have talked about looking into it for a while now and it was a really good way to get lots of information and meet the team of people from the agency. Hearing the adoptive dads talk about their experiences was definitely the highlight."

During LGBT History Month, join SWAN and Lothian Health Services Archive for an evening event remembering Lothian Lesbian & Gay Switchboard. We'll hear first hand experiences of Switchboard, and there will be a chance to view highlights from an extensive collection of community resources dating from the 1970s to 2000s.

Please come and join us for what promises to be a fascinating event.

Join us for our next event as we hear from Equality Network about their important new partnership scheme, the Rainbow Mark, which has been developed to encourage hospitality, sports and service providers to offer inclusive services for LGBTI+ people. We’re delighted that Scott Cuthbertson, Development Manager for Equality Network will join us to explain how the scheme works.

We’re being kindly hosted by our friends George Watsons College, and we’ll also hear from Assistant Principal Louise Clarke about work that the school is doing to support diversity and inclusion.

The event will run from 7-9pm with plenty time for informal discussion and networking over drinks.
