Welcome

SWAN offers networking opportunities to all members of the LGBT community, our friends and allies. We're proud to be a registered charity, working to improve inclusivity for LGBT people in Scottish workplaces.

About

SWAN was founded in 2008 by Ian Arnot and Robert Cole, who were involved with BT's LGBTQ Networking group, Kaleidoscope. At the time, many companies and public sector employers had their own social networking organisations but there was nothing that connected them. SWAN was created in order to fill this gap and provide a network in Scotland to bring people from different sectors together, as an LGBT community.

We frequently run LGBT Networking events in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee.

As an organisation, we work with many leading businesses, public and third sector organisations to highlight the importance of workplace diversity and equality and we have been lucky to have our events hosted by many of these organisations across Scotland’s central belt. Our aim is to provide LGBT people with access to networking opportunities and with the help of our hosts we are able to do this absolutely free.

Can you host or speak at an event?

We would like to thank all of our partners, hosts and sponsors.
Without their support we could not offer such a wide range of events.
